Sunsets

Have you ever considered a sunset? Looked at how some days they are just so glorious to look at, filled with colors so vivid that you can feel  the emotions radiating from them? The last few days here in Denver have given me much to think about, much to consider.

In our lives, a sunset is like the memories that we have from our everyday mundane moments. When the sun is high up in the sky, we don't even take a moment to think about it. It could be that we are so wrapped up in the hustle and bustle. Isn't that what our lives can sometimes be? Too busy to realise that right now you are making a memory that you will look back on with remorse, happiness, longing?

Take moments in the life of say...me (since I only know my life best). Some moments are a blur in my day, and yet to my children they are burned in their memories of me, their momma.  My son will remember that I made that special pancake for him. He will remember the day I let him pick out the fabric for his favorite blanket. My daughter will remember getting a pedicure with her momma. And they will all remember sitting around the table plugging away at their school work. These moments are but a blur in our day, but as the years go by they will be a beautiful sunset burning with longing, happiness and maybe a little sadness. It is too bad that we can not go back in time and enjoy those moments once again.

Will you have beautiful sunsets to look upon in the future? Will you leave them behind as well? The next time that you see a sunset (they happen everyday!), take a moment to tell your loved ones that you love them, hold their hands, kiss them, laugh with them. Leave the best sunset that you can.

God loves you, Fee
